2018-04-27Convert CONFIG_SPI to KconfigAdam Ford
This converts the following to Kconfig: CONFIG_SPI This partly involves updating code that assumes that CONFIG_SPI implies things that are specific to the MPC8xx SPI driver. For now, just update the CONFIG tests. This also involves reworking the default for CONFIG_SYS_DEF_EEPROM_ADDR so that we don't set it when we cannot make a reasonable default, as it does not cause any compile failures. 2018-02-11configs: Migrate CONFIG_SYS_TEXT_BASETom Rini
On the NIOS2 and Xtensa architectures, we do not have CONFIG_SYS_TEXT_BASE set. This is a strict migration of the current values into the defconfig and removing them from the headers. 2018-02-05cmd: Make CONFIG_CMD_FPGA depend on CONFIG_FPGATuomas Tynkkynen
cmd/Makefile has: ifdef CONFIG_FPGA obj-$(CONFIG_CMD_FPGA) += fpga.o endif which means that if CONFIG_FPGA is not set, CONFIG_CMD_FPGA silently does nothing. Let's remove that Makefile conditional and instead express this equivalent dependency in Kconfig, so a lot of redundant # CONFIG_CMD_FPGA is not set can be removed from board defconfigs that don't actually have an FPGA. 2016-12-29mmc: complete unfinished move of CONFIG_MMCMasahiro Yamada
Commit 7a777f6d6f35 ("mmc: Add generic Kconfig option") created a Kconfig entry for this option without any actual moves, then commit 44c798799f66 ("sunxi: Use Kconfig CONFIG_MMC") moved instances only for SUNXI. We generally do not like such partial moves. This kind of work is automated by tools/moveconfig.py, so it is pretty easy to complete this move. I am adding "default ARM || PPC || SANDBOX" (suggested by Tom). This shortens the configs and will ease new board porting. Some archs/boards specify their own default by pre-defining the config which causes the Kconfig system to mix up the order of the configs in the defconfigs... This will cause merge pain if allowed to proliferate. Remove the configs that behave this way from the archs. A few configs still remain, but that is because they only exist as defaults and do not have a proper Kconfig entry. It works in Linux Kernel since ARCH is always given from the command line for cross compile. But in U-Boot, ARCH is not given from the command line. Which means we cannot know ARCH until the board configuration is done. That is why all the "*_defconfig" files should be gathered into a single directory ./configs/.
