2017-08-01PowerPC: Do not use llc -march in tests.Matthias Braun
`llc -march` is problematic because it only switches the target architecture, but leaves the operating system unchanged. This occasionally leads to indeterministic tests because the OS from LLVM_DEFAULT_TARGET_TRIPLE is used. However we can simply always use `llc -mtriple` instead. This changes all the tests to do this to avoid people using -march when they copy and paste parts of tests. This patch: - Removes -march if the .ll file already has a matching `target triple` directive or -mtriple argument. - In all other cases changes -march=ppc32/-march=ppc64 to -mtriple=ppc32--/-mtriple=ppc64-- See also the discussion in https://reviews.llvm.org/D35287 git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/llvm/trunk@309754 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2016-08-03Adding -verify-machineinstrs option to PowerPC testsEhsan Amiri
Currently we have a number of tests that fail with -verify-machineinstrs. To detect this cases earlier we add the option to the testcases with the exception of tests that will currently fail with this option. PR 27456 keeps track of this failures. No code review, as discussed with Hal Finkel. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/llvm/trunk@277624 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8

load instruction Essentially the same as the GEP change in r230786. A similar migration script can be used to update test cases, though a few more test case improvements/changes were required this time around: (r229269-r229278) import fileinput import sys import re pat = re.compile(r"((?:=|:|^)\s*load (?:atomic )?(?:volatile )?(.*?))(| addrspace\(\d+\) *)\*($| *(?:%|@|null|undef|blockaddress|getelementptr|addrspacecast|bitcast|inttoptr|\[\[[a-zA-Z]|\{\{).*$)") for line in sys.stdin: sys.stdout.write(re.sub(pat, r"\1, \2\3*\4", line)) Reviewers: rafael, dexonsmith, grosser Differential Revision: http://reviews.llvm.org/D7649 git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/llvm/trunk@230794 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2014-10-19[PowerPC] Clean up -mattr=+vsx tests to always specify -mcpuBill Schmidt
We recently discovered an issue that reinforces what a good idea it is to always specify -mcpu in our code generation tests, particularly for -mattr=+vsx. This patch ensures that all tests that specify -mattr=+vsx also specify -mcpu=pwr7 or -mcpu=pwr8, as appropriate. Some of the uses of -mattr=+vsx added recently don't make much sense (when specified for -mtriple=powerpc-apple-darwin8 or -march=ppc32, for example). For cases like this I've just removed the extra VSX test commands; there's enough coverage without them. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/llvm/trunk@220173 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2014-10-17[PPC] Adjust some PowerPC tests to account for presence/absence of VSXBill Schmidt
Patch by Bill Seurer; committed on his behalf. These test cases generate slightly different code sequences when VSX is activated and thus fail. The update turns off VSX explicitly for the existing checks and then adds a second set of checks for most of them that test the VSX instruction output. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/llvm/trunk@220019 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8

2012-11-30This patch fixes the Altivec addend construction for the fused multiply-addAdhemerval Zanella
instruction (vmaddfp) to conform with IEEE to ensure the sign of a zero result when resulting product is -0.0. The -0.0 vector addend to vmaddfp is generated by a creating a vector with full bits sets and then shifting each elements by 31-bits to the left, resulting in a vector of 0x80000000 (or -0.0 as float). The 'buildvec_canonicalize.ll' was adjusted to reflect this change and the 'vec_mul.ll' was complemented with the float vector multiplication test. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/llvm/trunk@168998 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8

2009-06-04Split the Add, Sub, and Mul instruction opcodes into separateDan Gohman
integer and floating-point opcodes, introducing FAdd, FSub, and FMul. For now, the AsmParser, BitcodeReader, and IRBuilder all preserve backwards compatability, and the Core LLVM APIs preserve backwards compatibility for IR producers. Most front-ends won't need to change immediately. This implements the first step of the plan outlined here: http://nondot.org/sabre/LLVMNotes/IntegerOverflow.txt git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/llvm/trunk@72897 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
